WHO Guideline Development Group
Guidelines for feeding infants and young children 6-23 months of age
The complementary feeding period is a crucial time for infant and young child growth and development. As new evidence emerges, the WHO Guidelines Development Group (GDG) is working to update guidelines for infant and young child feeding during this critical time period. The new guidelines will cover topics including diet diversity; animal source foods, fruits, and vegetables; continued breastfeeding; responsive feeding; and use of fortified products; among others. The E3 Nutrition Lab is participating in the process as part of the GDG.
